Pulverize oatmeal with a blender until fine, then measure one cup and set aside. Add lye to cold water, bring to 100 degrees. Melt fats and beeswax and bring to 95 degrees. Add lye solution to fats, stir until thin trace. Add honey, cinnamon oil, and oats and bring to medium trace. Pour into mold.
Notes:
This recipe can be made simpler by removing the beeswax and cocoa butter. Add 1 1/2 cups pulverized oatmeal for more scrub.

Ingredients:

12 oz. Cold Water
6 oz. Lye Crystals
27 ½ oz. Olive OIl
8 oz. Palm OIl
8 oz. Coconut oil

Directions:

Add lye to water and heat to 115 degrees. Combine oils and heat to 110 degrees. Add lye mixture to oil mixture and stir or hand blend until trace. Add Fragrance or color and pour into molds or flat tray. Water content will determine how firm the bars will be in 24 hours.
To make Lemon Verbena Castile soap, scent with 2oz Lemon Verbena FO, color with yellow candle dye and add 1T dried dill weed for texture.
Notes:
This recipe has slightly more Palm and Coconut Oil than traditional castile soap, but offers better lather and finish.
