No Bake Cookies

nobakecookiesrecipesize

Ingredients:

½ cup Butter
2 cups white sugar
½ cup milk
6 tbsp cocoa
3 cups quick cooking oats
½ cup coconut, medium
½ cup walnuts, chopped
1 tsp vanilla
pinch salt

Directions:

Place a sheet of waxed paper on a cookie sheet.
Put the butter, sugar and milk into the saucepan. Heat on medium stirring often until it comes to a boil and boil for about a minute. Remove the pan from heat.
Add all of the remaining ingredients and stir well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto the waxed paper. Cool completely. Store in a container with a lid with waxed paper between the layers.
Tip: In my experience boiling for about 1 minute is just right. If you boil less the cookies can be too soft and sticky; if you boil longer the cookies can be brittle and crumbly. Use your best judgment.
